The Federation of Holistic Therapists has achieved many firsts in over 40 years of setting professional standards. We have been the first therapy organisation to: 

• Introduce a Code of Practice and Code of Ethics to the industry
• Introduce a standard £3million insurance cover to therapists
• Offer £6million treatment liability insurance cover as required by some local UK Councils and Health Authorities  
• Publish a Members' catalogue offering discounted Members' items such as clothing, couches, essential oil kits and much more
• Provide unique therapist insurance policies for home and business
• Be recognised by the CNHC, the government backed regulator for complementary therapy, as the only professional association able to verify its memebers for all therapies on the regulatory register
• Introduce Advanced Practitioner levels of membership
• Offer therapists an internet site where members can communicate with other therapists across the world
• Introduce free advertising for Members seeking employment
• Provide a comprehensive Continuing Professional Development seminar programme for therapists
• Create comprehensive business guides for all therapists
• Establish an annual educational conference featuring leading speakers
• Provide Members with a complementary, holistic beauty and sports therapy journal, the 'International Therapist' that has the highest audited industry circulation in the UK
• Offer an Association credit card (subject to status).
