Local Support Groups...

Local Support Groups are a hub where therapists can
meet and discuss issues affecting their business.

The groups are a place where practitioners, students
and in many cases the public, can meet and hear
from speakers on various topics within the fields of
complementary health care, beauty and sports
  therapy.
They are run by members of FHT, on a voluntary
basis. FHT provide administrative support through our
Local Support Groups Team, Denise Gough and Jon Critoph.

To find out more about your local group, please select your nearest group or contact dgough@fht.org.uk

Our local support group network is always growing. If there isn't one in your area, why not consider starting one yourself?

A Typical Local Support Group Evening

Every meeting is different, but they usually begin with the group coordinator distributing information from FHT about local and national events which may be of interest to members.

This is a great opportunity for you to raise any queries you may have. If the coordinators cannot answer these personally, they will forward your query to FHT and then pass our response back to you.

The next 90 or so minutes will often be a presentation from a guest speaker.

Finally there will be a time for questions before finishing with a chance to network with your peers over drinks. The evenings always promise to be good value for money, informative, and most of all, fun.

How often are meetings held?

Each group will be slightly different but all will offer a minimum of 5 meetings a year.

They will normally be held on a fixed night of the week (or possibly during the day at a weekend) and a calendar of events is produced twice a year to let you know the events your group has planned.

The calendar of events is available from the group coordinator.
