Currently working for VTCT as Chief External Verifier for Beauty Therapy, Holistic and Sports Sectors, I am responsible for a team of EVs who visit Centres throughout the Midlands, North, Jersey, the Republic of Ireland and Malta.
I am responsible for supporting the development and expansion of International provision and qualifications.
I have continual extensive understanding of the industry, which I share at exhibitions and whilst liaising with contacts and colleagues in various colleges and training centres.
My experience includes working in Salons and Health Farm, setting up two sections in Colleges and developing their courses plus the development of training courses both as a training director for a company and for my own consultancy which includes giving lectures/talks and demonstrations as well as lecturing and examining in Europe, USA and the Far East
Having entered the industry as one of the first Beauty Therapists, I have continually updated my skills and have been responsible for developing the first NVQs in Beauty therapy plus research and development into new diplomas and certificates. Some of my ex-students have become very successful both as therapist and lecturers as well Heads of departments in Colleges, which makes me very proud.
