If you are a therapist who chooses to opt out of forthcoming voluntary self-regulation and Continuing Professional Development (CPD), the FHT can welcome you as an Associate.

Being an Associate is also ideal for therapists who wish to gain a recommendation for professional, public and product liability insurance from a professional organisation but holds approved qualifications from other professional associations (conditions apply, please contact our advisers on 023 8062 4350 to discuss your qualifications).

FHT Associates are also expected to abide by the FHT’s Code of Ethics of Professional Practice within the scope of their therapy skill. The Code of Ethics enables members to have a common guide to excellence in professional conduct and practice, and to meet and even exceed the expectations of clients.

Can I get insurance?

As a member of the FHT you will be expected to hold suitable insurance to practise. The FHT in addition to membership, FHT can offer Associates insurance products tailor-made for therapists not conducting CPD.
