The free insurance offer is only available to students, who:Have been accepted for membership of the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT)Are attending practitioner level courses recognised and accepted for membership by the FHT and qualifying within 12 months of courses startingFHT will pay the required insurance premium and IPT on your behalf.The offer is for one years membership and insurance only.The offer is only available to students taking out the £1Million Student Medical Malpractice Insurance between 01 September 2010 and 31st December 2013.
This Medical Malpractice public liability insurance is for students: giving treatments or completing case studies as agreed with the tutor not charging the client a fee making the client aware they are training in the therapy being given
In applying for membership of the FHT, the applicant accepts that the decision given in regard to grade of membership or acceptability for membership is final and that there is no obligation or requirement upon FHT, its staff, officers or directors to give any reason for the decision made.
Membership cards and lapel badgesAll students receive a membership card and lapel badge on joining. These remain the property of the FHT. If membership is revoked the membership card and badge must be returned to the FHT.
There must be no claims pending and no material facts have changed since applying for Student Insurance. The Premium and Insurance Premium Tax and charged for the £1 Million Student Medical Malpractice Insurance will be paid on your behalf by FHT.

Once you are qualified:Your membership fees must be paid before or at the same time as you pay for your insurance to ensure your cover remains active. You will receive new insurance documents, new membership certificate and membership card.
