ICAT - International Council of Acupuncture Therapists
After a successful career as a chartered engineer for 20 years, working for Rolls Royce and Bentley, followed by the Volkswagen Group, where he worked in customer care and then business management, Christopher embarked on a career change into complementary therapy.
Having always taken a keen interest in sports such as martial arts, running, and physical fitness, and training young people and adults, the human body seemed the perfect place to begin a new career adventure.
Christopher first trained in Swedish massage, then sports massage. He then completed the KORE Academy Diploma, an MSc Degree in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine with the Academy of Oriental Medicine in London. This was swiftly followed with clinical experience at both the Hei Ping Lee Hospital and Beijing Academy, in China.
He has lectured for the KORE Academy, teaching Clinical Acupuncture for both the Academy and for Blackburn College, which is linked to Lancaster University.
He has given complementary therapy treatments and talks in a number of prestigious locations such as Champneys Spa in Leicestershire, and the Muhammad Ali training camp in the USA.
Christopher now owns and runs a thriving complementary therapy clinic in the heart of Cheshire. Alongside this, he runs The Master Academy, offering training courses in acupuncture and complementary therapies.
