FHT's local groups offer a valuable hub for therapists to get together, gain CPD points and learn from interesting speakers on various topics within beauty, complementary and sports therapy. The groups are run by dedicated FHT Members who are called Coordinators, and they organise fun and engaging meetings that help support their local therapy community.
Why should I create my own local group?
Creating your own group is a very fun and greatly rewarding role. FHT will provide help and support every step of the way and as long as you are a full member with FHT and are insured to practise then the opportunity is there for you.
There are some fantastic benefits to creating your own group including:
- FREE membership
- CPD points awarded for organising meetings
- Funding for your first two group meetings
- Working alongside another Coordiantor, if you choose to, for additional help and support.

Here's what a current Coordinator says about running her group:
"I am a local group Coordinator as I believe the local network provides invaluable support for therapists who often work in isolation. The group meetings and contact gives all therapists local to me the opportunity to network, share concerns and successes, and attend interesting talks." - Carole Roberts, Wrexham local group.
