Topic: Business plan to start the new financial year with Victoria Sparks

Victoria Sparkes opened Muma Nurture in Eastbourne in September 2017 offering holistic and specialist support on the path to parenthood. Very simple approach to business planning, tailored specifically for therapists. Often our key skills lay in the therapies we offer and the interpersonal and business plans seem beyond us. In this session you will be given a streamlined business plan, which (if you choose) you can complete there and then. At the very least you should leave with an understanding of what is required, how to achieve that and that you are perfectly capable of doing that adequately. Business plans are an essential part of securing funding and other support, there is no reason to let that put you off.

Topic: What is Thermography and how can it help and protect you with Wendy Calver

When it comes to health more and more people are looking for natural ways to improve it, maintain it and diagnose potential problems. We all know that many treatments can be toxic but some diagnostic procedures can also do more harm than good. So it’s refreshing to find an investigatory procedure that can pick up problems in the very early stages, which is completely harmless and non-invasive – The Thermographic Body Scan. Wendy Calver, RN is a certified Clinical Thermographer. She has been a registered nurse for over 35 years and has also studied Reflexology and Reiki during that time. Wendy has always enjoyed using natural therapies to look after her own health and that of her family. She had a thermographic scan a few years ago, could see the many benefits, and decided to become a Clinical Thermographer so that she could continue to help people in a different way. Thermography can detect early danger signs in the body years before other devices. In many diseases there are variations in blood flow which in turn affect the skin temperature. Thermography enables earlier intervention and gives people more options to look after their health.

Topic: Instagram for your business with Alison Brown

Social media is a free marketing tool for your therapy practice with the use of different platforms - Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and LinkedIn to name a few. Many therapists have an Instagram page but, many do not use it or use it to benefit and create clients. This talk will cover why social media and blogging is good for business and why it is used as a marketing tool. Alison Brown has been running her own therapy business since 2000. After finishing training and previously being a stay at home married mum of 2, Ali had no idea how to run a business. So over the years she has done much training and learning about running a business and in 2013 decided to help other therapists in a similar position. Ali's Therapy Academy was built to share her knowledge and experiences and to help therapists.

Topic: Homeopathy and Me with Julia Karen Richardson

I am a trained Aromatherapist and Reflexologist and qualified in Indian Head Massage & the original LaStone Therapy & Spiritual Healing. My main passion is Homeopathy and after many years of study was awarded a Licentiate. I am also the student mentor for 'Southern College Of Homeopathy' in Tunbridge Wells. In 1999 I felt it was time to offer people the opportunity to take responsibility for their own health and to explore different approaches to medicine other than those generally being offered. With this in mind I opened The Mews Clinic in the Old Town offering complementary health care. As this was one of the first clinics of its kind to be opened in Eastbourne the practice has always been extremely busy. Homeopathy is controversial and has its share of bad press but it is an amazing form of medicine, gentle but powerful and works with your body not against it. Homeopathy has over 200 million worldwide users and has been available for over 200 years. Unbeknown by most it is available on the NHS and our Royal family have used and supported the practice since the 1830's, also reflecting its long standing presence in our health care system. I would like to share my journey into Homeopathy with you as I truly believe it helped to save my life. I don't just practice Homeopathy, I have become a Homoeopath and as you will discover, I certainly try to walk my talk.
