Often trauma sufferers have spent a lifetime misdiagnosed with physical and psychological problems. The body suffers as much as our psychological well-being. What really happens to our bodies when we have experienced trauma? We will be looking at the impact of trauma on the body and what ways the client can help themselves by identifying ways to self soothe the system.

Venue: Light up Lives, Room 7, Victoria Hall, Grange over Sands, LA11 6DP
Topic: The HEARTS process with Angela Pollard

Would you like to develop your skills so that you could quickly and easily help others to: Reduce tension and stress, Enhance relaxation and sleep, Promote feelings of well being? This interactive session will give a grounding in what The HEARTS Process can offer all of us in many settings. HEARTS has been designed for situations when massage or aromatherapy is inappropriate, but there is still a need for well intentioned touch and the sound of a calm voice. Techniques are particularly suitable for use “in the moment,” where people are anxious, restless, in pain or unable to sleep. HEARTS can be given through clothes & bed covers so there is no need for patients to remove clothing.
