As complementary therapists and holistic practitioners we all know how important a healthy diet is for our clients' well-being. But if your client has IBS it could be that some of those healthy foods are triggering their symptoms.

Susan Cole will be talking to you all about the Low-FODMAP diet, which is a proven, and medically recognised, approach to managing IBS. It is also the diet which enabled her to turn her life around completely and in a very short time. She will be explaining why certain foods trigger symptoms in people with IBS, how the diet needs to be followed for best results and sharing tips and tricks on how it is possible to still eat a tasty, varied and healthy diet.There will be time to chat with other members and to share your news as always. And to make plans for a Christmas get together

Topic: Tai Chi Movements for Wellbeing 

TMW Tai Chi Movements for Wellbeing is a specially developed sequence of movements which promotes physical, mental and emotional health and wellbeing. TMW combines the essential elements of both Tai Chi and Chi Kung inviting you to experience the benefits of these wonderful arts.  The simple sequence of gentle movement will flex, ease and strengthen muscles, relax and de-stress the mind, and aims to improve your self-confidence, flexibility and balance.

TMW is useful for therapists as something they can do themselves to reduce their own stress and tension, and to promote mindfulness.  It is also something therapists might want to recommend to clients, especially those who may be managing long term health conditions or feel unable to do more traditional forms of exercise. TMW is suitable for all ages and can be done sitting or standing, or a combination of the two. 

You are invited to bring a few nibbles to share. Tea and coffee will be provided. The community centre is well signposted and there is off road parking available.
