Topic: Battle Field Acupuncture

Marc Johnson will provide information about the opportunities to use this Technique which is a NATO Protocol that has been used in A&E departments in Israel.  If you do not have a specific qualification for Acupuncture, CPD points can be achieved through undertaking reflective practice following the presentation.

Topic: Emmett Technique with Lindsay Gouveia and Dyll Ferraday

Lindsay Gouveia and Dyll Ferraday are Certified Practitioners of this muscle based, light touch treatment that helps ease discomfort, restores comfortable movement and combats tension & stress for people of all ages and all levels of fitness and health.  Treatments are simple and can be completed within 10 – 15 minutes with no special equipment needed.  A demonstration of this technique will be given during the evening.  If you do not have a specific qualification for the Emmett Technique, CPD points can be achieved through undertaking reflective practice following the presentation.  As our speakers are travelling some distance it would be great if there is a lot of support for this evening.

Topic: Kinesiology and Core Programming

Our speaker for this meeting is Peta Pendlebury who will share her 20+ years’ experience of using Kinesiology to deal with our Core Programming and the emotions and body/mind reactions that result from this.  She will cover how we acquire this Programming, why we react in certain ways and why we sabotage ourselves even with the best of intentions.  She will explain some simple techniques that you can use to change this Programming so you can live a healthier, happier life.  There will also be a quick detour into Quantum Physics and Epigenetics and how this affects whatever therapy you practice!  The evening should be fun, informative and above all useful.
If you do not have a specific qualification for Kinesiology, CPD points can be achieved through undertaking reflective practice following the presentation.

Topic: Scarwork with Sarah Roberts

The speaker for this evening is Sarah Roberts, BSc (Hons) Complementary Therapies for Healthcare.  She is a partner based at the Estyn Wellbeing Centre in Wrexham offering a wide range of holistic massages, treatments and therapies including support for emotional wellbeing.  Sarah will spend the evening sharing her passion and explaining this light painless treatment. Sarah became ScarWork accredited in June of this year and in September attended a gathering with Sharon Wheeler who developed ScarWork. Scars and adhesions can cause pain, distortion and functional problems. ScarWork aims to integrate scar and adhesion tissue into the body and improve integrity and mobility, reduce discomfort and improve the appearance of scars. The treatment can be used to work on anything from bikini line scars to mastectomies, appendectomies to facial scarring.
