Are you passionate about holistic wellness and making a positive impact in people's lives? St. Luke’s Hospice is seeking a dedicated Complementary Therapist to join our Wellbeing team and provide compassionate care to our patients and their families.

Your Role:
As a Complementary Therapist at St. Luke’s, you will play a vital role in providing individualized Complementary Therapy treatments to patients across various settings, including in-patient, community, outpatient, and our Ecclesall Road South site. Your responsibilities will include:

Listening to patients' needs and concerns and delivering patient-centred care.
Providing individualized Complementary Therapy treatments to patients and carers.
Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care.
Mentoring and providing support to new staff members and Wellbeing Volunteers.
Participating in education programs, training sessions, and promotional events.
Adhering to professional standards and best clinical practice guidelines.
What We’re Looking For:
We're seeking a compassionate and skilled individual who possesses the following attributes:

Experience:
Experience delivering Complementary Therapy treatments in a healthcare setting.
Experience working with patients with specialist palliative care needs is desirable.
Previous experience in a health or care setting and an awareness of the needs of palliative care patients are essential.


Knowledge:
Knowledge of Complementary Therapy modalities and evidence-based practices.
Understanding of the dying process and managing the emotional impact of working with patients and their families.


Qualifications/Training:
Relevant professional qualifications and registration with appropriate professional bodies.
Commitment to continuous professional development and staying informed of modern developments in clinical practice.


You will need to be qualified in Level 3 Complementary Therapy with at least three of the following Complementary Therapies – Aromatherapy, Massage, Reflexology and Reiki.


Skills/Abilities:
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in maintaining accurate documentation and computer literacy.


Personal Development:
Commitment to continuous professional development and staying informed of modern developments in clinical practice.
