Course Content: Have you ever treated a client with low back pain and wished there was more you could do? Maybe they came to you with acute pain, believing this to be a herniated disc? Or maybe the pain came on after sitting for a long time or using a different chair? Have you every treated anyone with ongoing stiffness in the low back? Have you ever had low back pain yourself? Hands-on treatment can be helpful in the treatment of pain and stiffness in the lumbar spine but exercise is crucial. In this webinar Jane will explain the top 20 exercises she returns to time and time again when treating people with problems affecting this part of the back.

In this webinar you will learn:

  • Key things you need to do to ensure your advice is effective.
  • Key exercises to mobilize the low back
  • Key exercises to strengthen the low back
  • Top tips for safety – cautions and contraindications

In January 2024 The Guardian newspaper ran an article titled Back and Neck Problems Driving Major UK Health Crisis, with over 1 million people out of work due to either back or neck pain. This means that before long, someone with back or neck pain is bound to contact you for advice or treatment. The information provided in Jane’s webinar will help you to understand why and how exercises form an essential part of the treatment for someone with low back pain.
