Henna is a natural product used traditionally to decorate Asian brides, symbolising love, fertility and prosperity. A paste, containing henna and natural oils, is applied to the skin in an intricate design. Once the paste has hardened and painlessly removed, a burgundy to dark-brown pattern is left on the skin. A Mendhi Henna design can last from one week up to a month depending on the level of care.
